Harald Fryklöf (1882 to 1919) was a Swedish organist and composer. He was appointed organist at one of the largest churches in Stockholm, Sweden, at the age of 26. This is a clear indication of an impressive talent. His small piano pieces are in my ears little gems, and I have made the adoption to double bass quartet as faithful as possible, no notes are changed or modified in the pieces themselves. I just added the bridges in between, and they, or some of them, can be omitted.
The Finale music notation program simulations (that are used for most of the excerpts), are far from perfect. I could have used recordings from an actual performance, but the simulations provide a "neutral" interpretation, and together with the score, they give a fairly relevant picture of the music in question.
